 Organizational Dynamics 

These competencies relate to the general organizational structure and the interrelation of organizational units. This includes recognizing the roles and contributions expected for each organizational unit. The capacity to work effectively within the institution’s social, political, and technological systems also is covered.  Competencies include:

  • Organizational dynamics, including the governance structure, political realities, and the institutional and departmental culture (internal focus)
  • Organizational structure and alignment
  • Leadership role of the business officer in institutional policy making
  • Roles of the business officer
  • Roles of different constituent units in the institution
