This program is designed specifically to meet the needs of those individuals who aspire to the chief financial/business officer role in higher education.  Numerous individuals holding CFO/CBO positions are nearing retirement age.  It is anticipated that the majority of those positions will be filled by individuals currently working within higher education.  The program will help those aspiring to the position to acquire and/or enhance the skills they’ll need at the next level.  Participants will be provided with opportunities to work on their strategic thinking skills as well as prepare to face the range of higher-level issues that arise beyond the routine day-to-day operational challenges.  Participants will enjoy a wide range of experiences including small-group activities, mini-lectures on various subjects, case studies, and completion of a self-assessment that will help participants understand their operating style and its implications for working with others.
You must specifically pre-register for this track in its entirety. If you attended the ""Developing Business Officers"" track in 2009, it is recommended that you not register for NGCBO, since the program content and activities will be very similar.
